Ahmad Haji Hashim started his career as an office boy at Budaya Group in 1972. After leaving the company for 7 years, he came back in 1979 to become its Managing Director and shareholder. Whilst at the helm, he started Kolej Budaya and Budaya Gaya Pos in the state of Kelantan. He was involved in the training sector which includes seminars, workshops and various training courses held by locals as well as international companies.

He was once a history teacher at Maktab Adabi Masriyah, Pulau Pinang and Maktab Adabi Kedah. With sufficient management training and education, and coupled with high commitment and dedication, he was appointed to be the first and the youngest among students of Maktab-Maktab Adabi to be the Principal of Maktab Adabi Pahang in January 1977.

He has more then 25 years of hands-on experiences as a businessman since he graduated from University Malaya. His interest in business started since primary school by selling ‘kuih’ each morning at the school canteen. By evening, he will be selling goreng pisang and watermelon. The purpose of doing this was not so much for the need for money, but more for the deep interest to do business.

His passion to do good for the human kind (AMAL), led him to form AMALGROUP in 1984 as a vehicle to promote knowledge through training and education. This he hoped would result in them becoming more knowledgeable and prosperous. The AMAL GROUP has three companies in its stable. They are: AMAL KORESPONDAN SDN. BHD. (the first company he formed). AMAL PROFESIONAL SDN. BHD. is responsible for handling the consultancy area in management training and human resources development. AMALPRO SERVICES SDN. BHD. is responsible for managing and providing services to the AmalProTraining Center and Commonwealth Recreation Park at Rawang, Selangor. The AmalPro Training Center will be focusing on eco-tourism, all kinds of outdoor and exploration activities with camping facilities, all kinds of recreational and family activities, and all management training courses. Facilities such as chalets, lecture halls, surau and food catering will also be provided.

Dr. Ibrahim Mohd Nor started his career as a Service Engineer with Borneo Motor (M) Sdn Bhd in 1973. He later held several senior positions in the corporate sectors such as automotive, telecommunication, and semi-conductor industry. His last held position was with Integrated Network Innovation Sdn Bhd as its Managing Director.

Dr. Ibrahim Mohd Nor is a Management Consultant by profession since 1988. He has undertaken consulting assignments in Total Quality Management and ISO 9000 for MISC, HICOM, MIEL, Fulton Prebon. Direct Access (a Division of Southern Bank) and Bank Islam Malaysia on an organizational development basis. He has conducted team building programmes and various general management courses for several organizations like Renong Group of Companies, Southern Bank,Mayban Life Assurance Bhd, Bank Islam, Utusan  Melayu, Van Leers, MISC, Alcom, Amanah Capital Partners and its subsidiaries, PKNS, Boustead, Caltex, Peremba, Tenaga Nasional, Bank Rakyat, Toshiba, Matsushita Compressors, Hitachi, Felda, Felcra and many others. 

He has designed a training module for Managers on Leadership Efficacy and Developing Empowering Results (LEADER), which specifically covers the areas of Leadership skills, Interpersonal Communication skills, Mentoring Skills, Negotiating Skills, Creative Problem Solving Skills, Decision Making Skills, and Time Management. He has also designed a training module for Individual on Personal Integrated Leadership and Organisational Training (PILOT). Apart from this, he also conducts a self-development course for teenagers and university students throughout the country through his own created module called Pembentukan Warisan Insan Yang Sejahtera. (PEWARIS). He is also a regular speaker at many management forums and conferences.

He is a co-author of a book entitled ‘Kemahiran Mentoring’ published by Utusan publishing late last year, which is now in circulation at most bookstores. He has just completed writing his second book entitle ‘Panduan Praktikal ke Arah Kecemerlangan Jati Diri’ which he hopes to be published sometimes in the month of February 2003.
